Victory Lakes: Pool Landscaping Renovation

After more than two decades, the landscape beds inside Victory Lakes’ main pool area were due for an upgrade. The existing plantings—primarily overgrown ornamental grasses—were not only outdated, but also created safety concerns by blocking visibility along walkways where young children played.

HLS stepped in to redesign and install a refreshed planting plan that improved both safety and aesthetics. We introduced a curated mix of low-growing grasses, shrubs, and perennials to create structure, seasonal interest, and clear sightlines—all while complementing the established Crape Myrtle trees already on site.

To address longstanding drainage concerns, HLS also installed a river rock swale with boulders to reduce mulch runoff and prevent erosion into the drainage basin. The result is a clean, functional, and visually appealing landscape that supports a safer, more enjoyable pool environment for residents.
